Apalis Evaluation Board

The Apalis Evaluation Board is designed to be a flexible development environment to explore and evaluate the functionality and performance of the Apalis product family. All interfaces on the Apalis can be easily accessed, through a combination of real world connectors and easily accessible, standard pitch headers. The breakout area allows easy probing of a large number of Apalis interfaces and easy access to break and jumper signals as needed.

Das Apalis Evaluation Board bietet eine flexible Entwicklungsumgebung, um die Funktionen und Leistungsfähigkeit der Apalis Computer on Module Familie zu erforschen. Die Apalis Familie unterstützt eine breite Palette an Standard-Schnittstellen aus der Industrie und verfügt gleichzeitig über fortgeschrittene Multimedia und High-Speed Verbindungen, welche eine nahezu unbegrenzte Zahl an Anwendungsbereichen erschliessen. Das Apalis Evaluation Board wurde für die Verwendung mit Apalis T30 (basierend auf NVIDIA® Tegra™ 3 SoC), Apalis iMX6 (basierend auf NXP®/Freescale i.MX 6 SoCs)  und Apalis iMX8 (basierend auf NXP® i.MX 8 SoCs)  Computer on Modules entwickelt.

Das Apalis Evaluation Board ist mit einer ganzen Reihe von Schnittstellen ausgerüstet, inklusive USB 3.0, PCI-Express, Serial ATA, Gigabit Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485 und CAN. Die Unterstützung für Multimedia-Schnittstellen umfasst Digital and Analogue Audio, HDMI, LVDS, VGA und TFT LCD.

Auf die Apalis Schnittstellen kann man einfach mittels Physical Connectors und Standard Pitch Headers zugreifen. Die Jumper und der Breakout-Bereich erleichtern das Probing, Debugging und Re-Routing einer grossen Zahl an Apalis-Schnittstellen und Signalen, was das Evaluation Board zu einer extrem nützlichen Plattform für die Produktentwicklung macht. Zusätzliche On-Board Buttons, Switches und LEDs sowie der Jumper-Bereich ermöglichen Fast-Prototyping mittels gängiger Input/Output-Methoden.

Das Apalis Evaluation Board PCB umfasst vier Layers, von denen nur einer für das High-Speed Signal Routing verwendet wird. Dies ist ein Beispiel dafür, wie unglaublich einfach es mit der Direct Breakout Technologie wird, Leading-Edge-Schnittstellen mit minimalem Aufwand und Risiko zu implementieren. CAE-Daten umfassen Schematics, Layout und IPC-7351 konforme Komponentenbibliotheken, die frei verfügbar zum Download auf unserer Developer Website bereit stehen.
