We are pleased to announce the TorizonCore 5.0.0-devel-202009 September monthly release for Toradex's System on Modules.

Highlights:

      • Based on the Yocto Dunfell release
      • Based on the new 5.0.0 BSP (in development)
      • Support for Colibri iMX8QXP 2GB WB IT V1.0B, Colibri iMX8QXP 2GB WB IT V1.0B and Colibri iMX8DX 1GB V1.0B
      • Improvements for TorizonCore Builder tool
      • Bug fixes

The monthly releases are pre-production versions. We use them for conducting various tests and publish them as-it-is. While they possibly are suitable for development, they might show bugs or other issues. Learn more about our release types in our Embedded Linux Support Strategy.

Toradex is currently migrating from BSP 4 to BSP 5, as explained in our blog post. Since this is a major update, the TorizonCore 4 might currently be more suitable for development due to the increased stability compared to the monthly pre-production release of TorizonCore 5. We don't anticipate any major issues during switching to TorizonCore 5 as soon as the TorizonCore 5 production release is published.
