We talked to Toradex partner Visuality Systems about their software libraries that upgrade devices from the vulnerable SMB1 protocol to the more secure SMB3 protocol, enabling safer and more efficient communication and file-sharing capabilities.

Raphael Barki, Head of Marketing at Visuality Systems, explained how they install their libraries on Toradex's System on Modules such as, for example, the Colibri System on Module Family.

Raphael also discussed their success with Metrohm, a Swiss company specializing in high-precision instruments for chemical analysis. Using Toradex hardware, Metrohm requested an upgrade to the SMB3 protocol without changing their application's code. Thanks to the close collaboration between Toradex and Visuality Systems, Metrohm successfully upgraded to a safer SMB protocol while keeping their application the same.
