Exciting update: The i.MX 95 Titan Evaluation Kit (EVK) has evolved into the i.MX 95 Verdin Evaluation Kit!

The i.MX 95 Verdin Evaluation Kit is a very close collaboration between Toradex and NXP®. The EVK allows customers and Toradex Partners to evaluate and start developing on the new NXP i.MX 95 Applications Processor early, giving them a significant advantage when the NXP i.MX 95 SoC goes into mass production.

The name change is not just a marketing rebranding. Toradex and NXP joined forces to bring up the i.MX 95 Applications Processor as fast as possible and the original Titan EVK was fully optimized to do so. Now, with the i.MX 95 running and many of the interfaces tested, we are committed to bringing the i.MX 95 officially into the Verdin SoM form factor.

Verdin is a compact, scalable and modern SoM family. It's optimized for demanding Industries such as Industrial Automation, Healthcare, Automotive, and Renewables, including battery-powered use cases.

With the commitment to Verdin, here are some of the main advantages:

  • Scalability: Ranging from the cost-effective Verdin i.MX 8M Mini and i.MX 8M Plus, right up to the NXP i.MX 95 SoC.
  • Compatibility and Availability: Although the i.MX 95 Verdin Evaluation Kit availability is currently limited, its pin-compatibility with the Verdin Family allows you to start with the Verdin i.MX 8M Plus. The NXP i.MX 8M Plus has a powerful Neural Network Accelerator and up to 4x Cortex-A53. The i.MX 95 and i.MX 8M Plus both support embedded Linux Torizon OS, making software migration easy.
  • Just one simple name to remember
